MARCIE GRANAHAN NAMED NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF NFAIST

On behalf of the NFAIS Board of Directors I am pleased to announce that
Marcie Granahan has been named as your new Executive Director, effective
January 6, 2014. Ms. Granahan succeeds Bonnie Lawlor who is actively
assuring a smooth transition of leadership responsibilities after more than
a decade of dedicated service as Executive Director of NFAIS.

After an extensive search led by Sterling Martin Associates, the Board
unanimously confirmed hiring Ms. Granahan, who brings more than 25 years of
experience in a range of organization types including national, nonprofit,
and for-profit. Prior to NFAIS, Granahan served in CEO/Executive Director
positions at the National Center for Responsible Gaming, the U.S.
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, and most recently the American
Alliance for Theatre and Education. Granahan has a B.A. in Communications
from Salisbury State University in Maryland, is a Certified Association
Executive, and is a member of the Maryland Association of Nonprofit
Organizations and the American Society of Association Executives.

Marcie's unique skill set and experience will continue to drive NFAIS in
distinguishing its member experience as the industry standard in providing
value and thought leadership. Indeed, we are very fortunate to have a
successful and experienced leader like Marcie join us. She has a consistent
record of increasing value to membership organizations and their industries
in her previous roles. A new season begins for NFAIS!

Marcie will be formally introduced at the forthcoming NFAIS Annual
Conference scheduled to take place February 23 - 25, 2014 in

Philadelphia, PA (for more details go to:
http://nfais.org/event?eventID=530). She is looking forward to meeting all
of you, so

please take the time to introduce yourself and welcome her to the NFAIS
Community.
