Ms. Granahan succeeds Bonnie Lawlor who is actively assuring a smooth transition of leadership responsibilities after more than a decade of dedicated service as Executive Director of NFAIS. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in'><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in'><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>After an extensive search led by Sterling Martin Associates, the Board unanimously confirmed hiring Ms. Granahan, who brings more than 25 years of experience in a range of organization types including national, nonprofit, and for-profit. Prior to NFAIS, Granahan served in CEO/Executive Director positions at the National Center for Responsible Gaming, the U.S. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, and most recently the American Alliance for Theatre and Education. </span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Granahan has a B.A. in Communications from Salisbury State University in Maryland, is a Certified Association Executive, and is a member of the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations and the American Society of Association Executives. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in'><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in'><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Marcie’s unique skill set and experience will continue to drive NFAIS in distinguishing its member experience as the industry standard in providing value and thought leadership.
