[Archivesspace_Users_Group] Tracking extent processed

Hi all,

Does your institution track/document extent processed in a given window of
time this in ASpace and if so how?

In our case at the collection level, the following may apply:

   - Some original material may be weeded (the weeded material counts as
processed material ideally, but this is perhaps not doable)
   - Not a whole accession is processed

For example, we have a very large, endowed collection (a resource record
with many attached accession record accruals) where annual reports need to
be generated and it would be nice to say, "This amount of material was
processed in this amount of time."

Some potential ways to get this info seem like:

Resource record / Extent subrecord: The extent was this on this date and
that on another. The difference was what was processed. Are lock versions
of extents saved anywhere so that these numbers can be generated?

Resource record / Collection management subrecord / processing total
extent: Problems include that the subrecord is not repeatable and there is
no searchable date attached.

Accession record / Extent subrecord: This might be the best candidate, but
not the whole extent of an accession may be processed.

Accession record / Collection management subrecord / processing total
extent: Again, problems include that the subrecord is not repeatable and
there is no searchable date attached.

Let me know if I am missing something obvious.

Thanks!
Olivia
