[Archivesspace_Users_Group] Can we add more Identifier fields under basic information

Hello Christine,


I was wondering if I would get this question and please correct us if we are doing something wrong.


On the collection level, we are putting the accessions that make up the collection in the identifier fields.  I attached an example.  And if there were more than 4 we would put the rest of the accessions in the Repository Processing Note.  This helps us because in our old database collections could only be put in one accession at time. You couldn't intermingle the accessions within a collection like you can with ArchiveSpace. It just lets us know the accessions in the collection.


So, I guess there is a plug-in for this if this is how we wanted to proceed?  I haven't heard from anybody yet.

This is the kind of thing that you could probably do with a plugin and others on here could give you some guidance on that. I’m curious, though, why you want to add another field for identifier. Each box can take up to something like 50 characters. I’m interested to know your use case and how you need to be able to represent your identifiers.
