[Archivesspace_Users_Group] File Upload and Browser Cache on 3.3.1

Erhan,

Did you restart ASpace, or your local machine? A user here was running into the failed upload problem on Friday, but was able to successfully import on Monday, so time/a restart seemed to help them.

Are your background jobs still in the database table, or are they completely gone?

Thanks,
--Alex

Coincidentally, we have just today encountered this problem when loading a spreadsheet to link Top Containers.

I tried clearing the cache. It didn't help, a restart did, but now when we browse the Background Jobs all the jobs created in the past seem to have disappeared!

Any ideas of what went wrong?

Thanks,

Interesting! I wonder if it's this problem

https://archivesspace.atlassian.net/browse/ANW-1427<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__archivesspace.atlassian.net_browse_ANW-2D1427&d=DwMFAg&c=WO-RGvefibhHBZq3fL85hQ&r=tRyHPIc5-0mMaMRMkGDJ9yw8ZomecvHZBIHC3IKQ0Ds&m=ppKMnI9EhW3o0BXVnt-G8zBAdFIIc39Le0Y-eGnuU1NSiA3DutTi-o5XVYLQw3TE&s=5NB6TcKypI3w-76eHQZaj0ceG4GqHPzQccUPHS8fabY&e=>

I don't think anyone has tried clearing browser cache yet!

Since upgrading to 3.3.1, our users are running into an issue where uploading spreadsheets to ASpace will occasionally fail. The background job won't kick off - they get a "Sorry, something went wrong" screen, and the job isn't created. When this happens, if the user clears their browser cache, they can import successfully immediately.

Has anyone encountered similar behavior on any version of 3.x, and if so, is there a fix on the ASpace/server side?

Thanks,

--Alex
