Hi Kelly,

Recording Item-level bar codes is possible through the container module.
Yale University, who supported development of the latest version of the
container module, has provided some useful notes here
<http://guides.library.yale.edu/archivesspace/ASpaceContainerManagement>.

There is no way to directly import from an Access database. However, you
could certainly perform an export-based migration whereby you export your
Access data and relationships to an interim format, such as JSON or CSV,
and import the data using the API and/or one or more of the ArchivesSpace
import tools.

Let me know if that helps get your started.

Best, Jason
