[Archivesspace_Users_Group] Using Related Accessions component within an accession

Hi Jordon,

In the documentation in the ASpace Help Center, there is an entry under Managing Accessions detailing the Related Accessions Link if you want more detailed information, but one use for it is to link different additions to the same collection. For example, my repository takes in new additions regularly from different university offices that already have established collections. Since we create a new accession record for every addition, but the end description will be added onto an existing resource record, we could link all those accessions across other accession records so we know their relationship with a collection. For the record, we don't do this right now.

Best,
Christy

Subject: [Archivesspace_Users_Group] Using Related Accessions component within an accession

Hello,

It's also not clear to us if there's a specific way one should use the "Related accessions" field within an accession-unlike "Related resources," which I take is meant to be used when linking a spawned resource.

If there's documentation spelling out how this field should be used, or if any of you have local practices you can share, I would appreciate it.

Best,

Jordon
