[Archivesspace_Users_Group] odd information in public display?

Kari,

I wish it was that simple.  The ArchivesSpace public view is displaying "multi-part note content" in fields such as Related Materials when said field was not used in the original Archon record.  So when I search that phrase nothing comes up in Archon.  This also happens with the ASpace "Existence and Location of Originals" field because in Archon we almost never used the Locations tab to enter shelf location data.

And I've found that when Archon's "Biographical/Historical Note" field in the Description tab has data in it, the ASpace default adds "Note written by" even if the "Biographical/Historical Author" field is left blank.

ASpace shouldn't make up data that was never put into Archon and display it publically.

Hi Matt,
We haven't see that but it has happened with data that was put into customized fields in AT.  Best way to diagnose is to search in Archon for the text that's showing up in ArchivesSpace and see if you can figure out which data filed it came from.

Has anyone migrating from Archon or AT experienced descriptive text in the ASpace public display that was not in your original Archon or AT?  We have instances in public ASpace like:

Existence and Location of Originals
multi-part note content

Related Materials
multi-part note content

And in Archon there was no information entered in these fields.

Also the end of our Bio/Historic notes end with "Note written by" when no such text appears in Archon, and we didn't always enter a name in Archon's bio/historic author field.
