[Archivesspace_Users_Group] Setting type field for multipart note

[AAR Website]

We have a large number of records containing general information for which
a specified note field (i.e. 5XX) has not already been defined. This
information resides in 500$a datafields.

I've run a test import with this information formatted as follows:

<datafield ind1=" " ind2=" " tag="500">
      <subfield code="a">...note here...</subfield>
</datafield>

The content imports cleanly and resource display correctly with the General
Note label, though the type is designated with "Conditions Governing
Access".

Is there any mechanism for setting the type field to the desired value
during import?
