Hi Kate

The National Library of Australia would also be very interested in this ability.

Cheers

Subject: [Archivesspace_Users_Group] Access Restrictions Note and Use Restrictions Note

Hi All,

We are starting to outline our procedures for entering collection access/use restrictions in ArchivesSpace.

We plan to enter statements describing any access considerations and use/publication restrictions in the Accession Record, using the Access Restrictions Note and Use Restrictions Note fields. We'd really like to see these fields "spawn" to the Conditions Governing Access Note and the Conditions Governing Use Note in the Resource Record, much the same way as the Content Description field spawns to the Scope and Contents Note. It would save us some duplicate data entry and also allow that information to export to EAD and MARCXML.

Have there been any thoughts or discussions around this?

Thanks!

Kate
