Hi all,
We just started creating finding aids in ASpace. Currently, we have a question about the usage of "wrap in tag" function provided in the Notes fields. I found a post (http://lyralists.lyrasis.org/pipermail/archivesspace_users_group/2014-February/000116.html) posted by Mark Custer in Feb, introducing how to use the "wrap in tag" formatting the content contained in Notes fields such as <blockquote> and <emph>.
And our question is how to use other "no-formatting" tags, such as <date>, <subject>, <persname> and etc. Considering such information is probably entered or linked already in corresponding fields such as Dates, Subjects and Agents fields, are there any specific functions can be achieved by wrapping them again in the Notes fields?
For example, in our collection "Lucy Skidmore Scribner Collection (1837 - 1957)", Scribner, Lucy Skidmore is linked as Agent (Role is subject). Shall I wrap her name in the Notes fields (scope and content) by the tag <persname> again? I am wondering if there are any documents discussing how to utilized these "wrap in tags" in-detail, or any adopted practices about how to use these tags that you would like to share?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
