[Archivesspace_Users_Group] MODS export bug

Chiming in to say we were able to replicate this problem (ArchivesSpace 2.1.1). Based on https://github.com/archivesspace/archivesspace/blob/master/backend/app/exporters/serializers/mods.rb, it looks like ArchivesSpace exports all terms as a <mods:topic>, rather than conditionally by their term type as the MARC exporter does.  -k

Hi all,

We recently created a subject in ArchivesSpace for a geographic location. All of the terms are type 'Geographic', but the MODS exporter interprets the subject terms as <mods:topic> instead of <mods:geographic>.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? We're wondering if it's specific to our instance, or if we need to change the MODS export code.
