Good morning,

This message is for those using, or thinking of using, Harvard's aspace-import-excel, that adds and/or inserts a set of Archival Objects from an Excel Spreadsheet.

I'm announcing Version v1.7.1 (Downloadable as a zip at https://github.com/harvard-library/aspace-import-excel/archive/v1.7.1.zip ), which addresses two issues:

- Incorrect support of "Other Level" for the "Level of Description" column (https://github.com/harvard-library/aspace-import-excel/issues/16)

o "Other Level" has been added to the template dropdown, and another column "Other Level" has been added for entering the free-text value of that level. If this new column is empty, the plugin will use the default of "unspecified"

- Ruby gem clashes with the latest version of ArchivesSpace (https://github.com/harvard-library/aspace-import-excel/issues/17)

Note that there is an updated template available with this version; however, if you never use "Other Level", you may safely continue using spreadsheets based on the old template.

Cheers,
