Subject: [Archivesspace_Users_Group] Testers Needed for the Refactored Archon Migration Tool

Dear All,

With the work on refactored Archon migration tool nearing completion, the Archivesspace team is looking for people who are willing to test the accuracy of this tool. Additional information about this tool can be found here<https://archivesspace.atlassian.net/browse/AR-1278>.

Testing will primarily involve iteratively comparing records from a test Archon database (the admin password will be provided upon agreeing to become a tester)

http://archives-dev.library.illinois.edu/archondev/tracer/

To the records after they have been migrated to an Archivesspace instance.

To be a good candidate for this task you must:

  1. Have at least 2 hours a week of free time between now and end of the month.
  2. Be very familiar with both Archivesspace and Archon. This will help distinguish migration issues from UI or other issues.
  3. Be willing to review closely the Archon Mapping Documentation<https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/aspacemigrationtools/Archon+Schema+Mappings+Public.xlsx>
  4. Be willing to communicate quickly (within 48 hours) issues found so the migration tool can be modified and another round of testing undertaken.
Anyone interested and meet the above criteria can send an email (ns96 at nyu.edu<mailto:ns96 at nyu.edu>) to me directly so I can set you up.

Thanks,
