[Archivesspace_Users_Group] Can't connect to frontend server: how to reset flash errors ?

After shutting down and restarting a couple of time didn’t help, I tried shutting down and 
looking at the DB tables for something that might be hanging onto the error.  

Notifications didn’t seem to have anything except BACKEND_STARTED codes. 
Deleting all of the entries in the session table seemed to allow me to connect and login again. 

Will try the operation again and see if I can track down the initial problem with the merge 
that caused an ‘Internal Server Error’ .
