[Archivesspace_Users_Group] Archon creator records and repositories

Can an ASpace developer tell me what role repository designation plays for a Creator record in Archon during migration?  I'm thinking about changing the repository designation to (Select One) for all of our Creator records and seeing if that improves the results we see in ASpace post-migration.
