*****With sincere apologies for cross-posting*****

Greetings, all; the Bentley Historical Library is excited to announce the
launch of a blog <http://archival-integration.blogspot.com/> for the
"ArchivesSpace-Archivematica-DSpace Workflow Integration" project, a
collaboration between the Bentley and the University of Michigan Library
made possible by a generous grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Project staff are working closely with Artefactual Systems
<http://www.artefactual.com/>, the developers of the Archivematica digital
preservation system, to develop new features and/or functionality for these
systems to:

   - streamline the ingest, arrangement, description, and deposit of
archives in a digital repository and

   - facilitate the creation and reuse of descriptive, administrative, and
   rights metadata across platforms.

All development work and associated documentation will be made freely
available to the archives and digital preservation communities. In
addition, ArchivesSpace-Archivematica interaction will function
independently of DSpace; integration with the repository will employ open
and widely-used standards so that other systems (such as Hydra) could be
employed with additional development.

For more information on the project (and regular updates on our status),
please visit the blog: http://archival-integration.blogspot.com/

Additional information and documentation will be made available on the
Archivematica
wiki <https://www.archivematica.org/wiki/Appraisal_Arrangement_tab>.

Please feel free to contact project staff at bhl-mellon-grant at umich.edu.

Best regards,

Mike Shallcross
