Good morning.

I am very pleased to announce that Christine Di Bella has accepted the position and has already started as the ArchivesSpace Program Assistant (.5 FTE).

Christine has worked in archives for nearly 15 years, in a variety of academic and non-profit settings. Recently relocated to the greater Boston area, she is  currently also the Temporary Archivist for the Cambridge Public Library. Most recently she was the archivist for the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey, a charter member of ArchivesSpace. Prior to that she was the archivist and project director for the Philadelphia Area Consortium of Special Collections Libraries (PACSCL) Consortial Survey Initiative, a project to assess un- and under-processed archival collections at 22 Philadelphia area institutions. She has also held positions at the 92nd Street Y, the Bentley Historical Library at the University of Michigan, and Harvard Business School. She received an MSI from the University of Michigan's School of Information and a bachelor's degree in English from Wesleyan University. She is a past chair of the Delaware Valley Archivists Group, an active member of the Society of American Archivists, and a new member of New England Archivists.

Initially, Christine will focus on supporting member services such as enrollment and account updating.  Eventually, Christine will become involved with responding to / triaging user questions, will participate in the process of updating the application's user documentation, and will assist with developing the ArchivesSpace training program.
