K. Hlava has been selected as the 2014 Miles Conrad Award Winner by the NFAIS Board of Directors. She will be presented with the prestigious Miles Conrad Award on February 24, 2014 at the NFAIS 56th Annual Conference in Philadelphia, PA. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNoSpacing><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNoSpacing><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Margie is a well-respected (and well known) information industry pioneer and a long-time active NFAIS member. She has served on the NFAIS Board, as NFAIS President, and has chaired the NFAIS Standards Committee since 2001. Margie has also served leadership roles in other industry associations such as ASIS&T, NISO, ASIDIC, SLA, and the former Information Industry Association. Her accomplishments and contributions to our industry are far too numerous to list here (see the press release for a sampling at <a href="http://nfais.org/pressreleases?prid=24"><span style='color:blue'>http://nfais.org/pressreleases?prid=24</span></a>).
