What's Covered:
Scholarly output continues to increase with new journals introduced each year. At the same time, shrinking library acquisition budgets coupled with increasing journal subscription prices are challenging scholarly content buyers to do ever more with less.

With this dynamic, document delivery, one of the more traditional functions within research libraries, continues to stand as an important component for the advancement of research and scholarly communications.

This NFAIS Webinar, Tuesday, October 11, will examine the role of "Document Delivery in the Information Ecosystem" today and in the future. This webinar will cover the value that partnerships between publishers and content aggregators provide their customers for document delivery. These partnerships, among other benefits, complement subscription sales and foster expansion into new markets including non-subscribing libraries, corporations and unaffiliated knowledge workers.

Presenters:
Ian Palmer, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Reprints Desk
Shannon Pritting, Director of Library and Learning Resources, SUNY Polytechnic Institute
Christopher Mundy, Senior Manager, Knowledge Management, Intercept Pharmaceuticals

In this 90-minute Webinar, Reprints Desk's Ian Palmer, SUNY Poly's Shannon Pritting and Intercept Pharmaceuticals' Christopher Mundy will discuss:

* Perspectives on document delivery from both academic and corporate buyers

* How data-driven decision-making increases subscription and individual article sales

* Why customers choose on-demand document delivery to access content

* How libraries determine which journals to subscribe to and from which journals to purchase single articles

* The role of Interlibrary loan services as part of content access solutions
