What's Covered:
In June 2014, Sage Publications released a white paper based on an international survey of 482 academic and special libraries. The findings report a significant shift in how reference work is conducted, impacting publishers of major reference works—encyclopedias, special interest dictionaries, and similar tools—as well as those providing A&I and full-text article databases.

In this 90-minute webinar, principal researcher, Elisabeth Leonard, will share key findings of the survey and what publishers and platform providers should be doing to meet 21st century library needs.

Attendees will learn about:
Reference resources identified as the most useful to library professionals.
How discipline impacts which resources are deemed most useful.
Changes in library reference services to students and researchers.
The impact of open access and free web content.
How reference tools and resources are acquired and purchased in this new context.
The outlook for library budgets for reference tools and resources.
What content and platform providers should be doing to maximize the value of their products and services.
Join us on Thursday, October 30, to learn more about how reference work is done in the 21st century library.
