Academic use of video is expanding both for purposes of research as well as education. Because of the ubiquitous presence of video on mobile devices, the ease of access to those videos, and robust user acceptance, experts are seeing the emergence of video as a key content format for purposes of scholarship and education.
By attending this NFAIS virtual seminar on the emergence and rise of video as a scholarly content format, attendees will come away with the following:
· An awareness of the rising importance of video as an increasingly critical content format for publication as well as education
· An awareness of how institutions of higher education are dealing with the demand
· A sense of requisite infrastructures to support this format.

· A sense of what some content providers in this area are already delivering

As our opening keynote from Stephen Rhind-Tutt of Alexander Street Press will make clear, it's not just about YouTube anymore!
