NFAIS MEMBERS-ONLY EVENT SCHEDULED DURING 2011 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

A special members-only event is scheduled to take place on Monday, February
28, 2011 as part of the 2011 NFAIS Annual conference. The session, The
Crowd, the Cloud, and the Exaflood: The Future of Collaboration, will take a
look at how cloud computing is causing a fundamental shift in how computing
is done. Leading technologists estimate that this shift will result in an
"exaflood" of digital data - 20 to 50 times more online data than we have
today, but will also offer powerful tools to organize and make sense of it
all.

Our featured speaker will be Michael
<http://explore.georgetown.edu/people/mrn24/> R. Nelson, visiting
professor, Internet Studies, Georgetown University and former Special
Assistant for Information Technology at the White House Office of Science
and Technology Policy where he worked with Vice President Gore and the
President's Science Advisor on issues relating to the Global Information
Infrastructure, including telecommunications policy, information technology,
encryption, electronic commerce, and information policy.

Join us and learn how your organization can realize the full potential of
the Cloud and develop the tools and techniques needed to thrive in the world
of "Bid Data." A box lunch will be provided.

The members-only event will be limited to about 100 attendees who are
registered for the conference. If you have not yet registered, you can do so
at: http://www.nfais.org/page/295-register-for-2011-annual-conference.

I hope that you will be able to attend the luncheon, and if you can please
let me know as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, February 11th.
Hope to see you soon!
