Subject: [Lyroffers] April 22 webinar: Introducing the LYRASIS DataCite US Community

Greetings all,

If your organization is interested in making research and scholarly content more "FAIR" (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable), please join us for an informational webinar "Introducing the LYRASIS DataCite US Community<https://www.lyrasis.org/programs/Pages/DataCite-US-Community.aspx>" to learn about the benefits of DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) as well as the details and benefits of participation in this new LYRASIS program:

  *   When: Thurs. April 22, 12-1pm Pacific/ 1-2pm Mountain/ 2-3pm Central/ 3-4pm Eastern
  *   Registration and details: https://www.lyrasis.org/Content/Pages/Event-Details.aspx?Eid=E0361D0F-F281-EB11-80EF-00155D0A2721
  * Note: All registrants will receive a link to the webinar recording.

The LYRASIS DataCite US Community is a national consortium/community of practice for non-profit organizations in the US dedicated to creating and maintaining DOIs for research data, scholarly content, unique cultural heritage materials, and more, via the DataCite<https://datacite.org/> DOI registration agency. Similar to our existing ORCID US Community<https://orcid.org/members/001G000001wND7XIAW-lyrasis>, this new program provides membership cost sharing, dedicated support, and a shared pathway for organizations to support open research infrastructure by using DOIs to make research and scholarly content more FAIR<https://www.go-fair.org/fair-principles/>: Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable.

The LYRASIS DataCite US Community is designed to serve any non-profit institution in the US that is not already a DataCite member, and your organization does not need to be a LYRASIS member to participate. Additional information can be found online at https://www.lyrasis.org/programs/Pages/DataCite-US-Community-Membership.aspx. Many thanks,
Sheila

I live, work, and learn on Kalapuya Ilihi, the traditional indigenous homeland of the Kalapuya people. Learn more about the Kalapuya people<https://ndnhistoryresearch.com/tribal-regions/kalapuyan-ethnohistory/>, their history, and the history of this land. Learn about land acknowledgments<http://landacknowledgements.org/> and ways to be in solidarity with Native nations beyond land acknowledgments.
