Hello Everyone -

I want to give you an update on renewal pricing.

Pricing for the following vendor products has been posted to your renewal lists on SharePoint:

1. Alexander St. Press - No increase from last year.

2. Britannica - No increase from last year except for the addition of the LYRASIS admin fee.

3. Chronicle of Higher Education - Small increases plus the LYRASIS admin fee. Optional add-on pricing available for Domain Access to chronicle.com.

4. Gale - Increased 5% from last year plus the LYRASIS admin fee.

5. LexisNexis including former LexisNexis products now part of ProQuest - Approximately a 5% increase from last year.

6. De Gruyter/Berkeley Press - Prorated 6 months to 12/31/12 to align with De Gruyter's regular term. Less than 1% increase from last year, plus the LYRASIS admin fee.

7. Taylor & Francis - No increase from last year except for the addition of the LYRASIS admin fee.

Notes:

* Pricing has been posted to your renewal lists on SharePoint if it is no more than a 5% increase over last year's cost.

* Pricing posted to your renewal lists is the final amount due including the 2% LYRASIS admin fee for applicable products.

Pricing for the following vendor products is being reviewed or anticipated in April:

1. ABC-CLIO

2. Accuweather AP Images

3. Bowker/ProQuest

4. Columbia University Press CIAO

5. CQ Press - Pricing increased up to 50% due to CQ's decision to bring pricing to current levels. Increases are capped at 50%; however schools that are still below the current level after this year's increase may see another jump in FY14 to adjust to the current level.

6. CQ Weekly

7. Credo

8. EBSCO - Increases capped at 4% for most products, plus the LYRASIS admin fee.

9. Films Media Group

10. Gallup Brain

11. JAMA - Proposed pricing includes a 10% increase. We have asked JAMA for an explanation and to consider reducing the pricing to no more than a 5% increase. The LYRASIS admin fee will be applied.

12. McGraw-Hill AccessScience - Increased 5% from last year. However, the vendor will no longer honor the prior MDL arrangement to waive the minimum rate ($457 for FY13). A few schools will see a higher than usual increase.

13. Mergent/Dun & Bradstreet

14. Morningstar

15. Oxford University Press - Pricing received this morning and is being reviewed.

16. Paratext Reference Universe

17. ProQuest - No information yet about anticipated annual increase. The LYRASIS admin fee will be applied.

18. Thomson West Campus Research

19. Value Line Publishing

Notes:

* Quote requests, all products - My colleague Eric Zino will contact you, if he hasn't already, to discuss your interest and needs in more detail. Pricing will be posted to your renewal lists as these discussions are completed and vendor pricing is obtained.

* January renewal pricing will be estimated at a 10% increase over last year's cost.

I will update you as more pricing is posted. The deadline has been pushed back to 5/31 (from 4/30) to allow time for you to review and make decisions. Please let me know your questions or concerns in the meantime.

Kindly,

Beth
