For those not familiar with IRUS, the service consolidates COUNTER-conformant statistics from repositories and helps to demonstrate their value and impact, both internally and in comparison with other institutions, through a public interface at https://irus.jisc.ac.uk/r5/uk/. The interface provides open access to the comparison of usage data from all participating institutions across the globe. IRUS provides institutions with the advantage of being able to analyze repository metrics gathered to the same COUNTER standard that is widely used to gather usage data from licensed library content. New features and integrations: * DOI Look up - the IRUS platform now allows the ability to search by DOI under the new Individual Item Report, allowing all levels of users - repositories, funders, and authors - to track usage by individual item over time. * There are also citation altmetrics listed alongside usage statistics. * Item level and platform (repository) level widgets available for wider use. These widgets enable you to easily embed IRUS statistics into your repository and website. * There is now an updated policy for How IRUS excludes robots and rogue usage. This lays out the processes and filters IRUS makes in transforming raw data from the repositories into COUNTER-conformant usage statistics. * DOI Duplicate search - this new feature allows IRUS participants to check for duplicate DOI entries within their repositories. Upcoming Developments: * Title/Author search functionality * Harvesting ORCiD iDs As mentioned above, the usage data is open access and can be viewed by any user. We encourage everyone to visit the site and experiment with the different reporting options. The IRUS-US service is available for a yearly subscription fee to any U.S. institutions regardless of LYRASIS membership. Please contact Hannah Rosen for more information or to request a quote. Thank you for your continued support of LYRASIS programs.
