Hi all,
I hope your spring is going well so far. I'm just checking in with an FYI/tip:
Is your repository discoverable in DataCite Commons?
The DataCite Commons<https://commons.datacite.org/> search tool/PID graph now has the ability to search for repositories - but it your repository discoverable in a meaningful way? To make sure that your repository shows up in DataCite Commons along with descriptive information about your repository, here is what you can do:

  1. Log in to your live Fabrica repository account at https://doi.datacite.org/
  2. Click on "update repository" - from there you will see a form with several fields that you can enter; the more information you include, the more will show up for the repository in DataCite Commons. (More information: https://support.datacite.org/docs/update-repository-settings-consortium-orgs and field descriptions: https://support.datacite.org/docs/fields-repository-settings)
Then, when you or others search for your repository in DataCite Commons, more information about your repository will appear as well as statistics when you click on the repository name. For example, here is information about MorphoBank, a repository managed by Phoenix Bioinformatics (one of our LYRASIS DataCite US Community members): https://commons.datacite.org/repositories/phbi.repo
Additionally, if your repository is registered in re3data (a global registry of research data repositories - learn more at https://www.re3data.org/faq), its information can be combined with the information within Fabrica for the repository search.
If you have questions about any of this, let me know.
Cheers,
Sheila
