I am sharing the invitation below from Dr. Frances Pinter, the Executive Director of the Knowledge Unlatched (KU) open access scholarly ebook initiative. KU is hosting an update session at ALA, and anyone who wishes to learn more or participate in a discussion about KU's future is welcome to attend. Participating publisher representatives are also invited to the event.

Dear Librarian,

I would like to invite you to attend an informal review and discussion of the results of the Knowledge Unlatched Pilot Project at the American Library Association meeting in Las Vegas. Please feel free to share this invitation or bring a colleague with you.  We are looking forward to an engaging conversation among librarians and publishers.

This event will take place in Ballroom E at the Las Vegas Hotel, just minutes from the conference center, from 7:00 - 8:30 PM on Friday the 27th of June.

We've been delighted by the support for the KU concept, and there is work to do in the future to make sure that the needs of all stakeholders are met. Your input would be greatly valued.
