Each seems to be attracting a different set of publishers, and I gather there are a variety of reasons for this phenomenon. Neither MUSE nor JSTOR is requiring exclusivity as far as I know, but the publishers are generally selecting one or the other. Oxford now has University of California Press content, and DeGruyter has Harvard University Press content. Both of these presses have appeared on BOOKS at JSTOR publisher lists in the past, and I do not have an update about whether their arrangements with JSTOR are still in place or not. We have been in contact with JSTOR to stay on top of their latest news about Books at JSTOR, but they have been rather quiet these past few months. We're planning to meet with them at ALA in person, and I will certainly keep this list informed about our conversation. They are aware that a lot of eyes are trained on them.
