I know many of you have been waiting for the Project MUSE/UPCC ebook collection offer that we have been negotiating on behalf of the Association of Research Libraries, and I appreciate your patience. We have crafted some special offers with MUSE that are available through August 31, 2012. The summary memo attached provides many details, and the accompanying spreadsheet sets forth the pricing.

There is a lot of information to absorb in the attached documents, and I hope that you will share them with others at your institutions who are interested. Through the efforts of the ARL Licensing Initiative working group, we have had a significant impact on pricing, license terms, and future development plans for the Project MUSE/UPCC ebooks.

I will be glad to answer any questions, and I encourage you to share your thoughts about this offer and on our ARL Licensing Initiative work to date.
