My current processes involve picking up a repo through git clone, rather than going to the tag pages and downloading zips.</div>

Is it acceptable to clone the "release-v3.4.x" branch and use the code in there? I'm assuming that the released 3.4.0 goes there, then 3.4.1 and so on, so I'd never be picking up anything unstable, but just wanted to make absolutely sure. I wouldn't ever use

 the master branch because I know it isn't stable and have been stung by that before!</div>
