<p class="MsoNormal">We have two collections where we ended up using finding aids (now in ArchivesSpace—they were migrated in). The purposes for each were different.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><a href="https://id.lib.harvard.edu/ead/hua36010/catalog">https://id.lib.harvard.edu/ead/hua36010/catalog</a> : John Rawls’ library, has a few non-book items, but chiefly the metadata was obtained by copy-cataloging the books, adding holdings
 and a 700 field for “Former owner” and grabbing selected fields from library catalog records. This data was then converted to EAD. The finding aid serves as a “binder” to understand the scope and significance of the library as a whole. This was processed in
 the last couple of decades. Having these in the general catalog as well as in a finding aid has absolutely lead to the heavy use of this collection.

 we don’t have resources to catalog (something that might be remedied soon), so this is our best effort.<o:p></o:p></p>
