<p>OK: I did manage to get staff EDIT links working on one test server. </p>
<p>There seem to be a number of issues involved: </p>
<p> browser differences in handling headers and <meta> tags ( and different error messages in different browser consoles ),</p>
<p> AppConfig proxy settings,</p>
<p> CORS issues with https: / http: security downgrade... </p>
<p> and I'm not sure what else: testing config on my laptop, it also makes a difference if you connect and login on the server as 'localhost' or with actual server name. Maybe that makes a difference in the session cookies. </p>

<p>We're currently running our staff interface thru https: behind some other security, and the public server more open and on http: There may be some problems getting that config to work. </p>

<p>But a heads up to others: Since the 'Staff Only' button is hidden unless this is configured properly and working, I was not initially aware that something wasn't working! </p>

<p>And the requirements to get it working seem to have changed from previous versions before the new PUI. </p>

<p>Are staff EDIT links from PUI resources working for anyone ( in 2.x ) ? </p>
<p>They don't appear for me, and browser console shows javascript errors. </p>

<p>From this issue, it looks like there was a patch accepted, but issue not resolved. </p>
