Colleagues,

We are currently working on a test migration from ArchivesSpace 2.5.1 to 2.7.1 and have run into an indexing issue once the migration is complete. The error message we are seeing is:

Jul 10, 2020 3:45:39 PM org.apache.solr.update.processor.LogUpdateProcessor finish
INFO: [collection1] webapp= path=/update params={} {add=[/repositories/14/archival_objects/247222, /repositories/14/archival_objects/247223, /repositories/14/archival_objects/247224, /repositories/14/archival_objects/247225, /repositories/14/archival_objects/247226, /repositories/14/archival_objects/247227, /repositories/14/archival_objects/247228, /repositories/14/archival_objects/247229, /repositories/14/archival_objects/247230, /repositories/14/archival_objects/247231, ... (25 adds)]} 0 23

Checking the data in the staff side, it appears that references to one top container were changed during the migration, and as a result the indexing for the PUI fails and keeps repeating. The error also seems to prevent us from correcting the error through the staff interface. Re-running the migration produced a similar result.

Has anyone encountered this error during their migration process? Looking at previous postings led us to suspect problems with orphan records, but after testing it appears this is not the issue here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
