Webinar description:
This webinar will be recorded and made available on the ArchivesSpace YouTube channel.
Katie Gillespie (Atlas Systems) will present the Aeon and ArchivesSpace integration request plugin and discuss the different ways this plugin has been deployed at individual institutions. Katie will also discuss development work that is currently being planned to expand and improve the plugin and the accompanying Aeon client addon.

Joanne Archer (University of Maryland) will walk through her repository’s decision to use ArchivesSpace and Aeon together. She will offer insight into the process of integration, including decisions that were made, lessons learned and how integration has made life easier.

A discussion will follow. Current users of the plugin, as well as those who have integrated Aeon and ArchivesSpace at their own institutions through other workflows, are encouraged to attend and offer insight into their own integrations, lessons learned and plans for the future. Users who are interested in integrating Aeon and ArchivesSpace are also encouraged to attend and offer insight into their own needs and initial feedback on the proposed plugin improvements.

Presenters:
Katie Gillespie is the Special Collections & Archives Program Manager at Atlas Systems. She works with current and new Aeon sites on implementation and training. She also serves as the Aeon Product Lead, working as a liaison for customer requests and enhancements to help drive Aeon development. Katie received her MLIS from Simmons College in 2015 and her Bachelor’s from Ohio University.

Joanne Archer is the Head of Special Collections Access and Outreach Services at the University of Maryland Libraries. She oversaw UMD's implementation of Aeon several years ago and more recently managed the ArchivesSpace implementation for Special Collections.

Who should attend:
Anyone interested in possibilities for integrating ArchivesSpace with Aeon, those who have integrated ArchivesSpace and Aeon and would like to offer insight to others, and those who are interested in getting ideas for building an integration workflow.
