[Archivesspace_Users_Group] Problems linking containers to locations

We seem to be having trouble with newer container functionality. When creating an instance within a resource we are able to successfully create a container but it won't let us link it to a container profile. We can search to find an existing container from the resource using things like searching for an unassociated container, but the type and search in the container name bar does not work. More importantly, we cannot link containers to locations. When I try to update the container with a location, rather than extending the page with additional options to find a location, it takes me from the edit option to just a normal view of the container. The linked resources aren't pulling up for containers either.

Any thoughts on what might be happening? This has happened with 1.5.1 (never resolved) and now 1.5.3. We are running the instance installed source and are using a Rhel type 5.11 server. We do not have ruby installed independent of the app.
