[Archivesspace_Users_Group] Appraisal plug-in

Yale University has worked with HM to develop a number of plugins to extend the accessions module for its purposes. See http://guides.library.yale.edu/archivesspace/ArchivesSpaceAccessioning for at least some of them. There may be something you can use or adapt for monetary appraisals.

If you’re just needing a single field of information, a user-defined field might be a good choice. (In fact, this is an example we use in our trainings of something someone might use a user-defined field for.)

The assessment module that Tufts is subsidizing and that is projected to be available for release in the fall will provide some support for the archival appraisal function.

I was referring to an archival appraisal plug-in. We are not worried at the moment about valuation, and unfortunately the appraisal/de-accession events do not allow the level of detail we are seeking.

Hi Brian,
For clarification, do you mean a monetary appraisal or an archival appraisal? We are interested in representing monetary appraisals in ASpace. For now we decided to document the info in the "Appraisal" event. It would be nice to be able to document monetary value in an easily searchable way, though.
