Yes, since EAD doesn't allow for HTML tags, that's how you markup italics. The <title> tag is converted to proper HTML in the view pages.

Hi all,



In Archivists' Toolkit, we wrapped titles in italics tags.  This information hasn't transferred to AS.  Rather than reading The House that Giacomo Built it now reads <title render="italic">The House that Giacomo Built</title>.  Any ideas on how to either transfer the text formatting elements from AT to AS or how to use text formatting in AS?
