[Archivesspace_Users_Group] NEW Import error with Accession CSV Template

After this initial test, I have discovered that I am only able to import ONE file successfully. To get a 2nd file imported, I must stop the application and restart the server. Then the file which failed imports successfully.

Is there some setting that I need to add to allow multiple imports?

Further experimenting, I found that if I created a user account in ArchivesSpace for the aspace db user, that user was able to import a file.
So, I added another line to the config.rb file copying and replacing the user and password with my credentials which are also a valid server user.
AppConfig[:db_url] = "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/archivesspace?user=aspace&password=aspace123&useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=UTF-8"

I am now able to load a file.
I had not understood this requirement for importing.

Thanks,

Susan

Sadly, I am not experienced enough to interpret your question.

This is a test WAMP environment on my computer where I have admin rights and can delete files in the folder.

The user account on the server in this case is "aspace" with ALL privileges, Grant YES. When I try to edit this, I see that there are no Table-specific privileges.
This is from my config.rb file and is the only not-commented line in that file:

AppConfig[:db_url] = "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/archivesspace?user=aspace&password=aspace123&useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=UTF-8"

The user logged into ArchiveSpace is my personal account and I am an administrator.

Baby steps.

Thanks,
Susan

Hi,

What I am seeing is that the job completed, but the last step ( removing the import file ) is running into a permission problem.

Not sure about what your deployment method is, but does the use running the application have delete permissions in the application's data directory?

Hi Susan,

What does the archivesspace.out log file say?

Subject: [Archivesspace_Users_Group] Import error with Accession CSV Template

I am trying to use the http://www.archivesspace.org/importexport Accession CSV Template with some very basic information for a test accession.

System details: ArchivesSpace version 1.1.2; Windows Apache MySQL PHP (WAMP)

Most of my experiments resulted in this error

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IMPORT ERROR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Error: #

When I removed all but the three elements required of an accession: title, accession_number, accession date, I get this error:

I have also tried to import a file that had successfully imported in a Linux environment and get the error with no results.

I would appreciate any help in solving this problem

Thanks,
Susan
