[Archivesspace_Users_Group] Only one language possible in Basic Information?

Hi, Jaime,

“Multiple languages” is an option on the Language controlled value list in the Basic Information section for Resource and Digital Object records.  You can select it to describe the fact there are multiple languages present in the material being described.  You should also use a Language of Materials note to indicate all the languages present in the collection.  The pair of Language in Basic Information and Language of Materials note should probably be used together in all cases.

There is no intention at this time to provide the means for indicating more than one language choice in the basic information pane.

According to the help pop-up, the "Language" drop-down in "Basic Information" is describing the language of the collection (DACS 4.5), not the language of the finding aid.

After selecting one language, it doesn't seem possible to add an additional one.  We have several collections with multiple languages represented.  While the "Language of Materials" Note remains, this seems misleading.

Will the option to add additional languages be added or is it indeed asking for the (presumably single) language of the finding aid?
