The MARCXML-Import-Export-Mapping for the leader tag document specifies:

IF level = item, Position 7 = "m"
ELSE Position 7 = "c"

I've formatted the leaders for a group of records as follows:

 <leader>00000npm a2200000 u 4500</leader>

Following import, the level of description field is incorrectly set to "Collection" instead of "Item" as expected.

It seems that the importer does not respect the variable set in the leader's 7th position.

Please advise.
