[Archivesspace_Users_Group] adding a new field?

Is there a somewhat easy way to add a brand new field to a record type in ArchivesSpace? Or add a new value to an enumerated type field? My immediate need is to add a couple of values to the note type field for agents (specifically the "Note Type" drop down list for persons).
