Greetings UAC members,

This email is about a DEIA initiative that ArchivesSpace is currently working on a proposal for. Through the discussions the ArchivesSpace community had around antiracism and inclusion over the summer, there was great interest across the community in helping some institutions implement and use ArchivesSpace by providing the resources they will need to do so. ArchivesSpace is interested in creating a package for several institutions, such as Minority Serving Institutions, non-profit or community archives, and tribal archives.

As a part of this package, they would like to offer non-technical assistance through a community-led program offering peer to peer assistance. I am reaching out to you as User Advisory Council members to see if you are interested in being a part of the peer to peer support. And if so, if you would be interested in writing a letter of support for the proposal. If you are interested, please let me know and I can provide you with more information. Letters should be sent on letterhead and ideally be sent by November 18 so that they may be included in the proposal for the board's December meeting. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I appreciate the work everyone is doing for the council. Have a great week.

Best,
Brittany

Chair, ArchivesSpace User Advisory Council
