[Archivesspace_uac] UAC Meeting Follow Up

Hi everyone,

As discussed during our meeting yesterday, our meetings going forward will be a little different. More information about our meetings for the fall and winter are below. Additionally, our September meeting will be a joint meeting with the Technical Advisory Council. A doodle poll will be sent out early next week.

Meetings:

For the fall and winter, meetings will be held monthly starting with our October meeting. We will be doing a trial run of monthly meetings through our January meeting. After, we will discuss whether to continue, go-back to meeting every other month, or try a hybrid of the two.

Meetings will also be on a set recurring day and time for those months. I will be sending out the date and time for each in September. After you get the email, please let me know if you have conflicts, such as another meeting that recurs at the same time.

Discussions:

During our meetings, we will try to have more discussions than reports. Each meeting will have a different sub-team leading discussion. Sub-teams can discuss their major activities and projects they are working on, pose questions of other UAC members, and consider inviting guests, such as ArchivesSpace members working/implementing projects that involves the work of the UAC. I will be sending out an email next week to sub-team leaders to create a schedule for discussion.

Additionally, reach out to me if you are interested in being the Vice Chair for the year.
