This would tie in really well with another resource we’re working on. I’ll be presenting a lightning round talk at the member forum announcing an “implementation buddy” program where people from different institutions could “buddy up” to chat about their ASpace projects and work through challenges together. It’s kind of like mentorship, without the pressures/burdens/expectations of being a mentor. I plan to create a “sign-up sheet” on google forms to facilitate connecting buddies.

It sounds like we’re thinking of buddies/mentors/partners pretty similarly, but with the choice of word assuming varying pressures. This directory would be a great place to share whether community members are willing to participate and share their knowledge in a more interactive way. Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for having me join your call today. Just a quick recap on the member directory we shared today:
We have been thinking about creating a member directory that shares information about where people are in terms of using/implementing ArchivesSpace, what tools they are using, as well as how they have customized the application through integrations and plugins.

The goal of this directory is to provide a resource to help connect members who are working on similar projects, or exploring certain options. We hope this makes it easier for members to reach out to each other in a more informed way. Delivery of this resource will be through a PDF that is emailed to member reps.
